Participants gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge technologies like virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and game development, guided by Drexel University's expert faculty.
The Drexel University Digital Development Camp, VirtuaQuest, is a specialized four-week in-person summer program led by the School of Computer and Information Sciences (SCIS). Participants engage deeply with technology and digital development topics, guided by expert faculty and student leaders. The program provides hands-on experience in areas such as virtual reality, artificial intelligence, programming, and game development. Campers build technical skills and explore future paths in computing. Each day includes workshops and a lecture by an SCIS faculty member on topics like gaming, artificial intelligence, machine learning, cybersecurity, and data science. Working in teams, campers apply their learned skills to programming, AI/machine learning, and data science projects. The camp culminates in a virtual showcase where teams demonstrate their work to parents and friends.
Each day campers attend a variety of workshops and a lecture given by an SCIS faculty member on topics such as gaming, artificial intelligence, machine learning, cybersecurity, and data science.
The camp is open to rising high school sophomores, juniors, seniors and accepted SCIS first-year students.
