About this camp

Campers at Janet's Planet Astronaut Academy engage in an immersive, in-person experience designed to ignite a passion for space and science. The program focuses on collaborative STEM learning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills through a variety of hands-on activities. Participants undertake astronaut challenges, conduct science experiments, and engage in Challenger Learning Center simulations. They also explore aviation through workshops and learn about NASA's Artemis mission. Campers will keep an astronaut training journal, design mission patches, build spacecraft, and create Martian habitats. The curriculum is grounded in scientific fact, allowing campers to explore the solar system and the reaches of outer space while interacting with scientists working in the field. Daily activities include outdoor astronaut physical training and opportunities to get fresh air.
