Campers gain practical experience in both ground robotics with autonomous mBot2 robots and aerial robotics through drone quadcopter piloting.
In the Penn Charter STEAM – Robotics and Drone Camp, campers engage in hands-on activities to design, build, and program autonomous mBot2 robots. They explore how robots perceive, sense, and navigate their environment, utilizing data from sensors to solve problems through coding and experimentation. The camp also provides an opportunity to learn how to pilot drone quadcopters, navigate obstacle courses, and develop coordination and technical skills. This immersive experience fosters an understanding of robotics, coding, and drone operation through practical application and exciting challenges.
Campers will build and program robots and learn to pilot drones, engaging in hands-on coding and experimentation to solve problems and complete challenges.
This camp is ideal for students aged 9-14 interested in exploring robotics, coding, and drone technology through practical, hands-on activities.

Philadelphia STEM Summer Camps is a free directory service that aggregates publicly available information about STEM programs, summer camps, and educational opportunities. We do not operate, sponsor, endorse, accredit, certify, or have any affiliation with the camps and programs listed here unless explicitly stated.
All program details — including pricing, session dates, instructor credentials, curriculum, safety policies, refund terms, transportation, meal arrangements, and admission requirements — are sourced from publicly available information and may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Listings are partially generated and updated using automated AI-assisted research, which can occasionally produce inaccurate details. Parents and guardians are solely responsible for independently verifying every detail directly with the camp before enrolling, paying, or relying on any information shown here.
